Wind-powered street lamp lights up only when needed

Designed by University of the Arts Berlin student Tobias Trübenabacher, PAPILIO is a street lamp that generates electricity using an integrated wind generator and a sheet metal rotor. The lamp stores electricity in a rechargeable battery and is equipped with an infrared sensor that allows the light to activate only when it’s actually needed.
